Porsche 911 Carrera 4S - Coating

Michael had brought me his E46 BMW M3 for a Dull Detail, his 2017 Audi S6 for Opti-Coat Pro+, and now it was time to bring his newly acquired 997 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S in for a light correction and Opti-Coat Pro+, Opti-Glass Pro, and Opti-Guard Leather/Fabric.

I learn a lot with this vehicle mainly because of how newer Porsche black is to work with. It is very soft and this causes you to polish it differently. I was able to removed a lot of the oxidation on the car, which can be seen in the first photo because the previous owner had a clear bra on the front end for protection. I also removed the factory rear fender stone guards and replaced them with Opti-Coat PPF in the same shape.

The interior fabric and leather also were coated to help maintain the cleanliness and to prevent fading from harmful UV rays. The Glass was coated with Opti-Glass Pro for chemical and water resistance for about two years.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

RJ has brought his Jeep Grand Cherokee to me a few times for coating and film and this time it was to apply Lamin-x Tint (6%) to the headlamps. Not only is this a great look on white, but it provides protection from stone chips that could make him replace an entire assembly. All Lamin-x films come with a five year warranty as well!

The Grand Cherokee returns! This time, after a basic wash, for more Lamin-x film. The door cups and door sills all received film to help protect the paint and coating for many years to come.

I will always say that the best way to preserve the glory of your vehicle is to have it protected from day one. That's what happened with this new Jeep Grand Cherokee and even though there was a scratch on the rear hatch, the entire car was pretty clean. A quick polish was all it needed before wrapping the front with a Lamin-x clear bra on the hood, bumper, mirror caps, and fender tips. All the lighting was also protected with Lamin-x film. To finish it all off, Opti-Coat Pro+ was applied to the entire vehicle for seven years of chemical and UV resistance! The Jeep definitely looked even better than new and I am looking forward to seeing it in the future.

Infiniti G35

Some people do prefer a darker look to their lighting and there is a right way and a wrong way to do this. Do not use spray tint. Not only can it not be easily removed but it never looks right and provides no actual impact protection. I removed the spray tint on this Infiniti G35 sedan and one of the headlamps was in need of a restoration. After a quick restoration, I then polished both headlamps and added gunsmoked Lamin-x protective film for a great look and long lasting protection!
