My brother's Jetta TDI needed a nice maintenance wash and wax before Winter fully sets in. An Optimum No Rinse bath, clay bar, and Optimum Car Wax was a nice touch up to the Full Detail I did back in June and is now set for another five months!
Subaru Impreza
Miranda brought me her Subaru Impreza with the plans of a having a wash and wax, stereo and speaker upgrade, and fog lamp replacement. I started with the stereo and speaker upgrade and replaced the factory stereo with a Pioneer stereo and the factory speakers with Pioneer speakers. The quality bump was simply amazing and the music can finally be heard with the windows down.
Then on to the fog lights. The previous owner of the car had installed aftermarket sealed beams for fog lamps with custom brackets and aftermarket power harness. The one bulb had burned out and once I removed the bumper and saw the custom brackets, I knew that removing the aftermarket parts was the way to go. I managed to pick up used OEM parts and it was refreshing to have the factory fit and finish and function.
Miranda is family and one thing I know about her is that she never washes her cars. She bought the car two years ago and it has never been washed. I also am a horrible Christmas gift shopper so I took this time to upgrade her Wash and Wax to include a quick polish. It definitely brought the metallic grey back to life! Of course, I finished it off with Optimum Car Wax and Opti-Seal for five months of protection.
Nissan 240SX
Kevin brought the beast back for Winter prep so that the car could go into storage. A nice decontamination wash and clay was needed to lift some stains from leaves. Then a coat of Optimum Car Wax and Opti-Seal finished it off nicely. This car is always a pleasure to see and ride in.
BMW M3
Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement...next to Google. But seriously, it is. Michael was referred to me by his business partner, David (the owner of the black Porsche 911). His M3 is Carbon Black Metallic and it is such a cool color. It looks black until hit with direct sunlight and then it turned blue. It had a lot of swirls but nothing that wasn't fixable. Once swirl, scuff, and scratch free, the entire car was finished with Optimum Car Wax for five months of protection. Then the engine bay got a good degrease and steam cleaning and then sealed with Opti-Seal. This car was a true pleasure to detail and I look forward to seeing this car in the future!
Volvo 850 Turbo
Good friend Kacper picked up his Volvo 850 Turbo from its recent transmission swap (auto to manual) and some other engine bay bits and wanted to have it refreshed since it sat for a while waiting for parts. I gave the exterior a spray down with Optimum Power Clean to break up some of the heavier debris and then washed with Optimum No Rinse. The car was sealed with Opti-Seal and I am looking forward to the Full Detail we have planned in the Spring. I also did a quick degreasing of the engine bay to remove some residual oil.
