Volkswagen Golf R - Coating

Time for the fourth generation of Golf R to appear in my garage for a cleaning! Janine brought her Mk4, I have a Mk5, Eric brought his Mk6 twice, and now Alex's Mk7. If you don't know anything about Golf R32s and Rs, just know that they are limited in production and that they usually have every option available from the factory. This makes them the most expensive in the trim line of Golfs.

Alex was tired of waxing the car and we discussed a more permanent option. We decided on Opti-Coat Pro; this will give the Golf R five years of protection from organic matter and harmful UV rays. I will say that I was very happy with the outcome and that so was Alex. It is a good feeling to know that your investment is protected for the next several years, not months.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo

Word of mouth is very important! It is one of the best forms of advertisement. After Alex and Beth brought their Volkswagen Tiguan to me for a wash and wax, a friend of theirs expressed interest in a detail as well. Michelle has had her Veloster for about a year and it had never been waxed. Michelle also has a dog that likes to ride along so there was some hair hanging out in the back seat and floor of the car. So, a nice wash, clay, wax, vacuum, and dash/console/door cleaning made the car look almost brand new again! Remember, preventative maintenance is the best way to keep from having to spend big bucks down the road.

Volkswagen Golf R32 - Coating

The time has finally come to coat the #awdtaxi! I did a thorough compound and polish again, this time using Optimum's Hyper Compound and Polish before prepping for Pro+. All went really well. I even made sure the wheels and brake calipers were cleaned, prepped, and coated. I also re-applied Opti-Glass coating for better protection and applied it to the front windshield for the first time. The depth and shine that I can see in the Candy White is astounding. Definitely a new beast!

Volkswagen Tiguan

Good friends of mine Alex and Beth recently picked up this nice Tiguan and wanted to get a nice coat of wax on it to keep it looking good. For only having 1,200 miles on it, there was still a small layer of contaminates on the surface with went away with a clay bar. Alex also asked for the SE badge to be removed off of the rear hatch and for yellow Laminx film to be applied to the fog lamps. Topped off with a vacuum and Opti-Bond tire dressing made this black beauty shine! Can't wait to see it back for maintenance.
