Porsche 911 Carrera

Porsche. Love them or hate them, there is no in between. I love them and always will. I had a brief employment at a small VW, Audi, and Porsche shop and I learned a ton in that short time about Porsche. Having driven several, it made me appreciate them even more. I have known David for a few years and his '86 Carrera. It is hard not to take notice of his car because it appears to be a 911 Turbo. This Carrera had a Turbo rear clip installed back in the early 90s and I love the look of it (what's not to love?!).

David wanted to get some swirls and minor scratches taken out of the paint and refreshed as much as possible with a Full Detail. This paint was a definite challenge for me as some of it was very hard paint and some was very soft. I wasn't able to get the paint back to 100%, but I got it very, very close. Once all compounded and polished, the entire car was waxed with Optimum Car Wax and then sealed with Opti-Seal. This will give about 6 months of protection from harmful UV rays and make cleaning much easier. The tires were dressed with Opti-Bond tire gel, also giving UV protection to the rubber.

Once cleaned, I took the car for some photos and boy was I happy with the outcome of the detail and the photos. I cannot wait to see this car back in the future.

Nissan 240 SX

Close friend of mine, Kevin, is also attending H2Oi and even though he sold his Mk4 Golf R32, he didn't disappoint when he picked up this S13 Nissan 240 SX. Most 240s are gutted and turned into drift cars. Thankfully, this was not the case. The motor swap and build is fantastic and is boasting a modest 500 whp on pump gas and 660 whp on race gas. It is an absolute blast to ride in and drive and on top of it, it is very clean.

Kevin had the trunk shaved and repainted recently and he had the entire car paint corrected last year, so the trunk no longer matched the rest of the car. I corrected the trunk and then polished the rest of the car. The entire car got a nice layer of Optimum Spray Wax and Opti-Seal to give the 240 five months of UV protection.

Volkswagen Jetta

Pawel decided to swap out his Harley with me for his Mk2 Jetta. H2O International is a huge Volkswagen and Audi show that takes place in Ocean City Maryland every year at the end of September. Pawel wanted his Jetta all cleaned up for the trip down to this show so he asked for a Wash and Wax and Basic Interior. Most of this car is original and it is in great shape. Because it is a diesel, the back end of the car had a nice coating of soot that was caked on. Once clay barred, Optimum Spray Wax was applied to give five months of UV protection. It surely cleaned up well!

Toyota Tundra SR5

Bill contacted me about his 2013 Tundra and an unfortunate thing that had happened to it. He believes that half of his truck had been hit with paint balls. There were marks that wouldn't just wash off with water. He had taken the truck to his dealer who informed him that half the truck would have to be repainted. He brought the truck over so that I could do some test spots and I showed him the residue was coming off. We did see some defects in the clear coat from the material sitting on the paint for too long. Bill agreed to a full detail on the truck to remove the residue and to correct swirls and scratches.

This color is awesome! The more I looked at it, the more I loved it. I was able to make the clear coat defects better, but sadly not remove them completely. The rest of the truck, which Bill uses for work everyday, was brought back to life and looked great when it was all done. The entire truck was sealed with Optimum Spray Wax, giving 5 months of UV protection.

1992 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200

Years ago, I had a 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 and I loved it. Sadly, with a family, came the need to move on. I miss the bike and will have another someday. It was a treat when Pawel asked me to give his 1996 Sportster 1200 a wash. It does need a full detail to correct some swirls and scratches but cleaning and conditioning the seat, some polish on the pipes, and some spray wax on the tanks really cleaned this bike up, making me really miss my bike more!

So to answer the question if I detail motorcycles; YES I DO!
