This Ford Edge has spent a lot of time near the beach and it's oxidation definitely shows. This detail was a surprise birthday present and the results really speak for themselves. No, it won't be winning any car show trophies, but knowing that it will be easier to clean, both inside and out, is a win for everyone. Optimum Hyper Polish and Optimum Car Wax really make my life very easy when it comes to work like this!
Well well well. What can I say about this car that hasn't already been said? Good friend Kevin has had the 240 beast here before and this time it was to coat it! When the car isn't hibernating in the Winter, it lives on the street and Kevin has a problem with leaves landing on the car and staining the white paint. Opti-Coat Pro not only provides 9H hardness to your factory clear coat, but it does provided resistance to the very problem that Kevin has been having! The coating won't allow the leaves to bond and though it may still leave behind some color, the UV inhibitors won't allow them to bond and etch when exposed to harmful UV rays.
All that, and it makes it look phenomenal and very hydrophobic! While it was here, I went a little beyond what I told Kevin I would do and made sure his new CTS-V brake calipers were prepped and coated to help keep brake dust from building up and bonding to them. This is a lifetime coating and for cars that are 5 years old or newer, it comes with a 5 year warranty on factory defects. Thanks Kevin...no speeding tickets please.
Alex is no stranger around here so when he picked up a "new" car to beat around in, he made sure it came to me first to "remove the previous owner" from the car. Just because a car may be cheap and a "beater", doesn't mean it has to look like a trash dumpster. The inside was pretty bad, making me remove the front seats in order to remove all of the food/crumbs/hair/everything. Some stains had been there long enough to actually cause damage to the fibers and Alex was trying to keep the cost down, therefore I didn't go too much further. Once Optimum Carpet and Fabric Clean and Protect had done it's work, I made sure to clean all the hard surfaces with Optimum No Rinse and finished them with Optimum Protectant Plus. I also ran my deodorizer over night to neutralize any smells.
The exterior had quite a few swirls, dents, and scratches so I did the best I could to make sure those defects didn't stand out. All in all, the Basic Detail package is a great way to refresh a car before selling it or shortly after acquiring. Thanks Alex!
Jeremy had his 911 coated with Gloss Coat by me, so he is no stranger to Opti-Coat and the benefits of protecting your investment. This meant when his wife got a new car, having it coated with Opti-Coat Pro, Opti-Guard Leather and Fabric, and Opti-Glass Pro was high on the priority list!
The car had been detailed by the dealership and there were many swirls to remove in order to make it look better than new. Thankfully, Optimum's polishes made quick work of this and soon it was ready to be coated. The interior was already pretty clean so not much was needed in order to prepare the leather and cloth for coating. This isn't a topic discussed much but Opti-Coat's fabric and leather coatings are a great way to protect from spills and UV rays, each backed with a 5 year warranty.
Finished up with Opti-Glass Pro, giving resistance to rain, snow, and ice since the vehicle is kept outside all the time! All in all, making sure you protect your investment from as soon as you get it is the best way to save on costly corrections and repairs in the future. Thanks Jeremy and Tiff!
Jeff approached me not long ago about wanting to add rear fogs to his Alltrack and since I had already done this to my Alltrack, this was an easy task. He also wanted to add the European halogen tail lamps to his car, which adds an amber turn signal to the car instead of a red one. The entire kit also included a light switch to allow for the rear fog, coding, and LED reverse and fog bulbs. Thanks Jeff, enjoy!
